Move Happened Sooner Than Expected

Funny how things change and your plans changed. This past week I was notified that my old  site was hacked. Not my user database (thankfully) but by unscrupulous people who had put hidden content in the site. Something Google frowns upon. So instead of trying to clean up that site it was easier to shut it down. That’s  earlier  than planned but it’s better than being de-indexed by Google.

What this really means is that the user database from the old site has not been implemented here yet so you cannot log in..  If you were a member of the old site you will receive an email from me asking you to change your password. Passwords were not transferable so one will be generated automatically for you, with a prompt to change it to whatever you want it to be. This should occur within the next 2 weeks.

If you have not registered with us and would like to be notified, then please sign-up on the right and you’ll receive an email when site registration is open.

What you will see is lots of changes happening when you look at the site during the next few weeks.

Technology Comes To Sewing Instruction

We’re still in final testing stages for our new technologies to be offered here at Destination Sewing. We’ve been testing furiously and are really excited about what we will be able to offer. I’m sure you will find it worth the wait. Our goal is to make on-line classes easy for everyone, and enjoyable as possible We truly believe in our methods and and know that some of it will be very new for you. But they will be leading edge and give everyone opportunities they have never had before.

Those registered at Destination Sewing, Inc. will be entering a true educational classroom environment. The instructors have a variety of media and methods to choose from, so it will vary from course to course. Many videos will be used but in addition we will be using technology not used before in an online sewing school. We want to give all of our students the chance to partake in all aspects of the sewing course. A true interactive classroom environment. We are so excited and know that you will be also. More information on our methods will be seen at our new site.

This is not the type of sewing school where you just download a PDF file and participate in chats if you are available. Although I have taken these classes and they were good, we are trying to take sewing classes to the next level. Our goal is to have the student interact with the instructor and other students to help increase the level of learning for everyone.

This method of learning is not new to the world of education, but it is new to the world of sewing.

We will also be offering so much more than before, beyond just sewing classes. There will be something for everyone. whether you are a beginner or experienced.

So I do hope that you will join us on this fun, education-filled ride.
